Grievance Redressal Cell
The Grievance Redressal Cell attempts to address genuine problems and complaints of students whatever be the nature of the problem. Students are encouraged to use the suggestion boxes placed on the campus to express constructive suggestions and grievances. They may also approach the members of the cell or any of their other staff as is comfortable to them.
Students are requested to note that making a complaint is serious and therefore they are to use this power in a responsible manner. At the same time, the college assures students that once a complaint is made, it will be treated with sensitivity and confidentiality.
The main objective of the Grievance Cell is to develop an accountable and responsive attitude among all the stakeholders so that a harmonious educational atmosphere is maintained in the institute. The cell is constituted for the redressal of the problems reported by the Students of the College with the aim and objective of upholding the dignity of the College by ensuring a strife free atmosphere in the College through the promotion of cordial student-teacher relationship, and student-student relationship etc. It also encourages the students to express their problems /grievances frankly and freely and without any fear of being victimized. Any kind of mental or physical harassment complaints regarding classroom management, classroom teaching, teaching methods of teachers, completion of syllabus, etc, if and when they arise.
The cell will meet in the first week of every month to address any complaints that have been received.
If the grievances are pertaining to the decision of the management, the committee will submit a report to the management with its remarks or recommendations.
If the grievances are found to be not reasonable, the students are explained about the impossibilities to implement them.
The statement showing the details of the date of Grievance Redressal Cell meeting, grievances of students and the actions taken will be made available.
The grievance Redressal cell shall not entertain the following issues:
- Decisions of the executive council, academic council, board of studies and other administrative or academic committees constituted by the university.
- Decisions with regard to award of scholarship, fee concessions, medals etc.
- Decisions made by the university with regard to disciplinary matters and misconduct.
- Decisions of the university about admissions in any courses offered by the institute.
- Decisions by competent authority on assessment and examination result.
